Once I met with Dr. Sanders regarding my nose surgery I was happy that the procedure was thoroughly explained to me during the consultation. Photos were taken during this visit, and he morphed the image to show me what the end result would look like. Dr. Sanders' staff was very caring and accommodating; they made me feel very comfortable. I am very pleased with my result and it exceded my expectations.
I met with Dr. Knight about a mommy makeover that included breast augmentation, liposuction, and a mini tummy tuck. He thoroughly explained what would happen during and after the procedure along with answering all of my questions. Everyone I dealt with from the surgery center to Dr. Knight's staff during the process was amazingly nice, caring and knowledgeable. I never imagined my results would be so amazing. I researched mini tummy tucks on the internet and mine surpasses all of the ones I've seen. The incision right after surgery was barely noticeable. I would do the surgery over in a heartbeat.
Brandi--Body Sculpting Patient
I have been going to Dr. Sanders since 2004 for my Botox, fillers, and microdermabrasions. He is always up to date on the latest procedures and his staff is always friendly and professional.
WOW! I can breathe! Imagine having surgery and waking up and the first thing you say is wow, I can breathe! Those were my first, second and third words after Dr. Ken Sanders operated on my nose. Having been plagued with deviated septum problems most of my life, I did not realize just how compromised my ability to breathe had become. When I began my research to find the perfect doctor to do my surgery I remember feeling apprehension just beginning the process not to mention all of the factors that come along with a surgery of this nature. I could NOT BE MORE pleased with my surgical experience with Dr. Sanders and his staff. From the first visit, the surgery day itself and the follow-up was far more than I anticipated. If you are reading this and are contemplating any type of procedure with Dr. Sanders, I believe you will have the same incredible results I have experienced!

Have two Shreveport Surgeons created the best Plastic Surgery practice in Louisiana? Dr. Knight and Dr. Sanders have joined forces to form the only super-specialized plastic surgery clinic in the region that includes most of Louisiana, East Texas, and Southern Arkansas.
Every patient wants the most specialized doctor – especially when it involves his or her face or breasts. Plastic surgery of the human body is a very broad discipline and normally too complex for any one doctor to master every portion of it. We know that in surgery, like many disciplines, the most professional results occur when highly skilled and specialized individuals perform the same procedures on a nearly daily basis. The repetition results in a refinement of method and a level of skill not found in general practice, much like a musician or athlete. Plastic surgery has grown to so many subspecialties, patients are increasingly seeking surgeons that specialize in narrow disciplines and are exceptionally skilled in those procedures. The era of receiving the best results from an all-around, "I Do Everything" surgical specialist are over.
Drs. Knight and Sanders, two of the most specialized plastic surgeons in the region, have acquired the mastery of their disciplines that only comes with focus, dedication, study and time. Now, the two individuals have joined resources to establish one of the only super specialized plastic surgery partnerships in our area. Dr. Ken Sanders, specializes in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery; while Dr. Dan Knight dedicates a significant portion of his practice to cosmetic surgery of the breast, breast reconstruction, and body contouring. Knight also has extensive experience in treating women with silicone breast implant problems. Together, they are KnightandSanders.

Although our knowledgeable staff often assists patients with questions about different plastic surgey procedures, every new patient sees Dr. Knight or Dr. Sanders during their initial consultation. The doctor often spends up to 30 to 45 minutes with new patients and welcomes the inclusion of a friend of family member during the consultation.

Q: How do I know if I'm a good candidate to have plastic surgery?
A: Plastic surgery can dramatically enhance your appearance and your self-confidence. If you consider yourself to be a physically and emotionally healthy person and have realistic expectations from the procedure, you should be a good candidate.
Q: What will happen during the initial consultation?
A: In your private consultation, you will meet with Dr. Knight or Dr. Sanders so you can explain your interests, concerns, and ask a variety of questions. They will review your medical history and ask you questions in order to understand your condition, goals and concerns. The doctors will also provide you with reading material about the procedure(s) you're considering. The initial consultation will include a nominal fee which is refunded at the time of surgery scheduling. It will last approximately 30-60 minutes depending on what is discussed. A cost analysis is also provided for any procedures you are interested in.
Q: What is the recovery like from a Plastic Surgery procedure?
A: Each patient will tolerate pain post-operatively in a different way, and this has to be considered. While some patients may describe the pain as an ache, others may experience greater discomfort. Appropriate pain medications are prescribed for the post-operative patients, and these help minimize discomfort. Operations that require elevation or tightening of the muscles-such as a facelift or browlift require more recovery time than those that are less invasive. In general, the recovery time is between one and two weeks with the "minimally invasive" procedures being less and the standard procedures being more.
Q: Do I need antibiotics before and after surgery?
A: Antibiotics should probably be used when a patient undergoes any procedure in which "bacteria" may be released into the blood stream. The preoperative and postoperative care will be discussed in detail and written instructions are provided with the operative packet you will receive at the preoperative visit.
Q: Will my insurance cover my cosmetic surgery?
A: Generally speaking, NO it will not. Cosmetic surgery is considered "elective surgery" and is not covered by most insurance plans. However, sometimes certain procedures are performed to improve function rather than appearance. For eyelid surgery to correct drooping eyelids, which cause impaired vision. If this is the case, contact your insurance company before surgery to determine if it is covered.
